Hij is het bewijs dat activisme werkt want de prachtige vallei van de Zwarte beek ligt er nog ongeschonden en in steeds betere conditie bij. Hij vertelt over hoe dat concreet in zijn werk is gegaan, over het ontluikende natuuractivisme in de prille jaren zeventig en ook hoe hij met de jaren steeds meer door het lokale erfgoed geboeid geraakte.
